Revamp of Finland’s Most Popular Joke Site, Parasvitsi.com

I launched parasvitsi.com in 2015 to put SEO techniques to the test in the real world.

In December 2017 the site peaked at 1,827 sessions in a single day.

In 2018 I started rebuilding the site. The old version used a heavy, clunky WordPress theme. I recreated a nearly identical design on the Foundationpress starter theme, cutting load times to a tenth of what they were before. I also added joke submissions and voting as new features.
