This page explains what tapiokauranen.com stores in your browser, and why. The website stores cookies only once you make a choice in the cookie banner. Analytics is used only if you allow it. Without consent, the website only counts visitors anonymously and stores nothing in your browser for it (privacy policy). The exception is the booking calendar, which stores cookies as soon as it loads (see Other services).

The website’s own visitor statistics start only once you have allowed analytics. They are stored on the website’s own server in the EU and are not passed on to anyone. The identifier kn_vid is random and does not reveal your name or your contact details. When you withdraw analytics, the identifier is removed from your browser.
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics only once you have allowed analytics. Analytics recognizes your browser by a random identifier: it does not get your name or your contact details.
Choosing Accept all also allows marketing. Google Analytics may then pass visit data on to Google’s advertising services, for example to build advertising audiences. If you want to allow visitor statistics only, choose Customize in the cookie banner and allow Analytics alone.

Booking calendar
The booking calendar on the free WordPress consultation page is a Calendly service. The calendar and the services it uses store cookies as soon as the calendar loads. They are needed for the calendar’s security and to prevent misuse. Read more in Calendly’s privacy notice.

YouTube videos
A YouTube video embedded in an article loads only once you accept it on the video itself or choose Accept all. YouTube (Google) may then store its own cookies.
Browser storage
The beginner’s guide to SEO, like its Finnish original, remembers which chapters you have read. This is stored only in your browser and is not sent anywhere. You can clear it with the guide’s Clear marks button.
