Cookie notice comparison
How my cookie notice differs from the others
| Others | My cookie notice |
|---|---|
| The free version is limited — the key features (Consent Mode, logs, multilingual support) require the paid version | All features are free. Google Consent Mode v2, consent logs, multilingual support, script blocking — all included. |
| The plugin adds ads and upsell notices to the WordPress admin | No ads, no pro version, no intrusive notices. A clean, professional user experience. |
| Heavy and complicated — slows down the site, and configuring it takes time | Light and fast — minimal impact on loading speed, and works almost immediately after installation. |
| Finnish-language support is missing or is a poor-quality machine translation | A Finnish plugin, a native Finnish translation and support from a Finnish developer. |
Why use the cookie notice I made?
The simplest and most powerful free cookie plugin on the market.
Most cookie plugins are either paid, full of ads or so complicated that configuring them takes an hour.
Kansleri Cookie Consent is built on the opposite philosophy:
- Completely free — no pro version, no upsells, no ads
- Light and fast — doesn’t slow down your site
- Easy to install — works right after activation
- GDPR-compliant — cookie blocking, consent logs and Google Consent Mode v2
The plugin is built on the same quality philosophy as all my other work: minimal code, maximum power.
Features
Everything you need for GDPR-compliant cookie management — and a little more.
Cookie banner and consent
Three banner styles: bottom bar, centered modal and corner pop-up. Colors, text and buttons are fully customizable. Typography can follow your theme or the plugin’s own settings.
Four consent categories: Necessary, Analytics, Marketing and Preferences.

Automatic script blocking
Third-party scripts are blocked automatically until the visitor gives consent. YouTube and Vimeo embeds are also blocked under marketing cookies — a clear placeholder takes the video’s place.
Google Consent Mode v2
The plugin sends consent default and update signals automatically. Google Site Kit compatibility prevents duplicate signals. A GTM dataLayer push is sent when consent changes.
Cookie scanner and AI assistance
The built-in scanner detects your site’s cookies automatically (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, WordPress, etc.). With AI prompts you can generate the cookie descriptions and even a complete privacy page.
Consent logs and statistics
Anonymized consent log for GDPR audits, CSV export included. The statistics panel shows the breakdown of accepted, rejected and customized choices without personal data.
The plugin automatically creates a Cookiebot-style privacy page (demo below)
