How plugin development works
A clear process from idea to finished plugin.
1. Discovery and planning
We start with a short meeting to go over what the plugin needs to do. I’ll prepare a written technical plan outlining features, timeline, and budget.
2. Development
I’ll build the plugin following WordPress best practices: secure code, clear structure, and WordPress Coding Standards. You’ll get interim demos as development progresses.
3. Testing and installation
The plugin is thoroughly tested before installation. I’ll check compatibility with your theme and other plugins. I’ll install the plugin on your site and make sure everything works.
4. Documentation and handover
You’ll receive clear instructions for using the plugin. The code is fully commented to support future development. The plugin is yours — you can continue developing it yourself or hire me for updates.
